Do you just offer princesses? Can you custom create a character for me per request?
Laura’s Princess Appearances is MUCH MORE than princesses! Besides our robust princess line up, we offer male and female superheroes, swimming mermaids, storybook characters, TV show characters, and beyond. If you don’t see your child’s favorite on our list, please inquire about a custom character creation, which we are happy to do for a materials fee.
Where are you located? How far do you travel for appearances?
Our party headquarters is located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA. We service New Jersey, Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, and some parts of Delaware. The first 20 miles traveled each way to your event are free. If your event is hosted over 20 miles from our headquarters, toll and mileage is applied per performer at .575/mile AFTER the first 20 miles roundtrip, and a 1.5 hour minimum booking is required.
Do you have a minimum booking length?
Yes, due to our affordable prices, we have a one hour minimum booking for events within 20 miles of our HQ and a 1.5 hour minimum booking for events over 20 miles from our HQ.
Do I need to make a payment to book my date?
Yes, a 50% non-refundable retainer payment of your total service price is required to secure your booking. This fee is then deducted from your party total.
What happens if I need to reschedule my event due to an emergency?
Our retainer fees are non-refundable, but they ARE transferable. Please contact us in an emergency and we can transfer your payment to one new date. After the first reschedule, a $10.00 rebooking fee applies for each subsequent reschedule.
Can I choose my performer?
We do not take performer requests, in the event the performer requested is ill or injured on the day of your event and another performer must fill the spot. All of our performers are wonderfully talented and wear the same exact costumes. We are sure the performer assigned to your event will impress!
Should I tip my performer?
Tips are graciously accepted, and our performers thank you for your generosity should you like to tip them for a wonderful performance. Most tips given previously have ranged about 20% of service.
How far in advance should I book my event?
Laura’s Princess Appearances has a team on 50+ performers and is usually able to accommodate all bookings. For best availability, we recommend booking about a month in advance of your event.
Do you offer discounts for additional characters booked? How about for extra time added?
Yes, we offer a discounted flat rate for characters booked after the first character. We also offer a discount for additional time added on to your event. Check out our packages and pricing HERE.
Do you partner with local business, corporate events, restaurants, etc.?
YES! We love to form character appearance partnerships with local businesses, libraries, kids’ gyms, bakeries, eateries and more, and offer a discount on our already low pricing for multiple monthly appearances booked. Can I hold my character event somewhere other than inside my own home?
Yes, our characters love to visit parks, restaurants, ice cream stores, kids’ gyms, halls, and more. We are happy to modify our activities, if needed, to go with the flow of your event. If you plan to hold your event outdoors, please note that performers will need a shaded area to perform and the opportunity to take water breaks in weather over 80 degrees.
Are the performers and costumes pictured on your website and social media going to be the ones at my event?
Yes, we only post photos from our own company events, with our current performers and costumes.
